Who has deleted their social media today?

Dont have social media aside from two forums and youtube. i wish could block certain keyword/spoken stuff from my internet altogether... includes POTUS and most politician responses, general News media and "influencer" vids from all sides
 
I have a gay son and have worked with a couple of transgender women. They seem fine to me. I couldn't stand the hate against trans on some forums. 2 of the 3 I left were because of this, one forum was not conservative and I left because of the hate for conservatives. Anyway, I am glad there is not a lot of hating on people in this forum. Everyone is fairly cordial in their responses. I'm down to two forums, this one, and one about guitars. :)
 
I need to dump Facebook anyways as I barely use it anymore these days. The less I use Meta products the better.

I do like Instagram - also a META product but I communicate way more on there and I like looking at hot chicks the visual aspect of the site.

I had to nix a few people - not people I expected, people I expected more of, but it is what it is.

I personally don't interact with anyone or their content/opinions outside their "field of expertise." (ie. I'm not going to listen to Bryce Mitchell talk about flat earth). Same goes for friends. Some of them get their news from Instagram reels. No thanks.
 
I normally read because I try to understand someone else’s point of view, but lately I get 2 words in and flip to the next page.
 
This whole thing has made me sick. It’s hard to not think about it which is strange because I’m usually not affected by stuff like this. I’m especially disheartened by the comments I’ve read on social media. I’ll probably take a break.
 
Howdee! I used to ride and I probably still would be if not for the stroke I suffered 3 years ago after my wife died from Alzheimer’s. I used to ride a modified 1992 Honda ST1100. I also used to volunteer at all the Northern California tracks, providing first aid response to downed riders. FYI I’m nearly 74!!!
 
Stop following the kind of people that trigger you on social media, and it's not a problem. I have Instagram and Reddit, and I haven't seen any comments about this on Reddit for the pages/subforums that I follow. Everyone I follow on Instagram must be conservative because I don't see anyone celebrating this. If you are seeing content that abhors you, you must be going out of your way to expose yourself to it. And if so, why are you interacting with people who abhor you? Is it because you are trolling them? Well then, yeah, if your sole purpose of interacting with people that disgust you is so that you can troll them, then you are probably going to get banned or get triggered/butthurt.

Some people don't want solutions. They want to be mad. I spent too many years in customer service to think anything otherwise.

You don't have to be conservative to not celebrate a death - just not an a-hole.

Remember the good old days when people were downright giddy about Nancy Pelosi's husband having his skull caved in with a hammer? I remember that clearly.

On the other hand, do you remember the huge outrage on the right, in June this year, when a Minnesota state senator, her husband and her dog were all assassinated and another senator and her husband suffered an attempted assassination, all by the same perpetrator? Yeah, neither do I.

I've switched my EDC from 124 RN .355 10+1 to 165 JHP .401 12+1 These people have lost their minds and frighten me. They have lost all traces of humanity. I just want to go earn a living and com home to my wife and children but apparently that's justification to be shot in the throat.


Sun Tzu emphasized knowing your enemy for strategic advantage, It's not cheating if they hand you their playbook. I ain't deleting anything.
