So took my X Macro to the range in Sac today and the dot sheared off and ripped itself apart! Range master and a few others could not make sense of it. Range master 3 10rnd mags prior. Last mag, when this happened, I was double tapping & this đź’© happened. Any ideas? Definitely taking it to my local gunsmith but im lost as to how!!

Did you lose the LCI piece too? I wonder if the had anything to do with it.

That's insane

Was it an overpowered reload somehow? Which screws? Maybe the screws were short and didn't have enough thread engagement? This is why I use a silver sharpie and put witness marks on the screws too

No these were fresh out the box Sellier & Bellot 115gr.

M3 x .5 as required by sig with blue thread locker on them. Torqued to 12lbs & i run a metallic bronze mark on my screws as well..I just cant connect the dots on how TF this happened!

If everything was correct all I can think of is that the screws failed. Who made the screws? I'd ask for warranty if the screws came with the optic

They came with the optic. Nothing aftermarket on the screws. Oh they for sure are getting a call but what could have caused the sight to rip apart like that..Thats whats racking my brain!

Is that your optic? What kind of optic were you running?

It didn't fly off and hit something solid?

Out of battery detonation. It blew out the LCI and took the optic with it
