You’re being swindled on Off Roster Glocks

I like that I can get around the roster with money, but I hate that the CA roster exists and standard mags ahould be allowed too. Suppressors are safety devices to protect hearing and should be allowed as well.

We non-LEOs simply cannot buy a NIB off-roster gun unless we have gun-friendly family in a free state. So, it really doesn't matter what an off-roster gun costs in a free state. The reality here is different and market forces apply.

I think of LEO resellers as providing a service despite the side-hustle profit.

P.S., the dollar sign comes first; e.g., $1,600.
Providing a service lol

I’ve been tracking the prices for a while and it seems like they’re going down, probably with the influx of the Gen 3’s that people bought and trying to resell 😂.

Hopeful Glock will bring the Gen 6 to california

I’d like a Glock 45 to put on my CCW
Glock just needs that mag disconnect

We are being Swindled by Mechanics...we should fix our own cars, buy parts online without the markup on parts and services.

I’d much rather people spend their money on ammo and training but it’s surprisingly hard to get people there.

It’s the same price as an off roster Glock, but people would rather show and tell then have skills and do drills. Hopefully that paradigm will change.

You don’t need 10 different firearms. 2 with good training and a lot of ammo is the shizzle.
Logically you're absolutely correct.

However, I can't just go to my local range and try everyone's guns, though the people are friendly and we often do try each other's guns. That's how I tried an Atlas, a .40 caliber, some revolvers, Glocks, a .22 Colt, etc. These guns all started something or answered questions, or both.

I am way too curious a person to hear about Staccato and not try one, same with a Platypus or any of the legendary Atlas guns, or the various modified 9mms (CGW), or optic vs. no optic, etc.

Now that I have a little experience and have bought and sold a few guns, I know what I like. The mystery isn't quite so great. I know what it's like to own a Shadow 2, a Shadow 2 Compact, an Atlas Erebus, a top-of-the-line .22, a Cajunized SP-01, a Platypus, and soon...a Staccato. I can more clearly see the differences, and whether a gun's reputation is well-earned or overblown. The TS2 is amazing, everything people say it is. The Erebus? Amazing shooter, but not comfortable for me. Way overpriced given how good the TS2 Orange is, and I overpaid a bit for mine off-roster. Still worth it? Yes.

Without all this experience, my curiosity would be too great to ignore what's out there, and there's so much I haven't tried which I'm curious about. But, I now know what I like.

It's kinda like dating, right? You gotta pursue your interests until you know what you like, and what the dealbreakers are.

I get what Ikeo is saying, but variety is the spice of life. Sounds pretty boring, shooting the same one or two guns over and over again. This is a gun forum. Meaning, we share our experiences with multiple styles, calibers, grips, accessories, and on and on.

And let’s face it, off roster guns are just “cooler” than roster guns. Sure, a Toyota Camry will get you where you’re trying to go, but a Ferrari is a lot more fun to drive. I’ve always despised a loaded chamber indicator. If you’re old enough to read that, then you’re old enough to understand rule number one. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
Well-said. If you don't know what's out there you can't make the best choice for your present or future self. With Turo, we have the opportunity to live with a car for a day or way more.

What puzzles me is when people have strong opinions one way or tother but cannot be arsed to actually try the thing and get some first-principles evidence. Stubborn incuriosity? I don't know, but I have the opposite problem.

I know, I've watched a few videos on this... but I don't want to ruin my Glock's resale value (just kidding :ROFLMAO: )...

But really the idea of messing with the frame of a handgun irreversibly freaks me out a bit.
I’m right there with ya. I just suck up that Glock knuckle. 😂

Sure, if I was working. But, since it's, you know, a HOBBY, I'll buy as many guns as I feel like buying.

I agree. With Gen 6 planning to be on market in CA in 6 months, I suspect the prices will drop back to more normal sale price. There are a few older models I could see still carrying a premium such as the long slide versions or if you want something other than 9 mm, .45 ACP.
I can see people still paying crazy prices, all due the off-roster has no mag disconnect.

Let them sit just like the $4K Staccato’s

The market will correct itself

That SDS Arms Inglis 2035 is looking delicious though
Never heard of that pistol. Had to look it up. I agree that pistol looks delicious lol. Now that is off roster worthy. Gen6 Glock is a Ford Pinto at Porche prices off roster.

I listed mine for $600. I will never rip off a red blooded American in a retarded state that just wants to exercise their God given right. Unfortunately the retarded state is ruining my plans of transferring it.

Well I’d say $600 a little low…$1000 for Gen6 off roster that’s a good price with a little profit. To list for $1600 and advertise No low ballers I know what I got, is absolute narcissistic behavior. It does suck living in a retarded state.

Emphasis on need. If your hobby is collecting guns that’s cool. If you learn how to use them the guns themselves become another level of fun. All good as you can spend on what you want but I’m just saying for the same money you can get a comparable gun AND training and use it for literally the same price. You’ll get waaaay more use out of your existing equipment, but again I’m just bringing classes to people because it’s really fun and making it available at a honest price.

Plus most people don’t realize how bad they are, when it comes shooting fundamentals but they think they’re bad boys because they own multiple firearms. You can totally own more btw, just get some training
