It's no secret that place has douche moderators and followers. Knee-benders to every lib overlord in the state. That place used to be cool when some of the SUPDEF dudes posted there. Pretty sure there's only four clowns on this site that actually care what that site owner is doing.

This forum is vastly superior in functionality and user experience. Hardly any smart folks post over there anymore, for a number of reasons, and I have limited my visits to the classifieds for half a decade. It feels like there has been ongoing problems with software/hosting/features for years now.
Interestingly, many of the smart folks who refuse to participate/visit that site are the rain makers in current litigation. It’s crazy, but telling….

I just returned from a 8 day long range fishing trip out of San Diego. I see there is no change with CalGuns web page issues. I was a long time member and contributor. It's sad to see a one time website crash and burn repeatedly. Time for me to move on... I've found a new home at CAguns.

I’m about 10 pages deep in the classifieds and was able to check all my messsges sitting in my inbox since April. Did a few searches right now and read some forums and seems good to go. I’d say page refreshing about IG fast and searches is slightly slow but about 5-10 seconds to populate your specified search request. Did a quick search right now at 2:18pm for “Glock 43x and it turned up 14 pages in 4 seconds. I dunno if that fast or not but good for me.

Capacity is an interesting problem.

Most folks have been to a concert or sporting event. Where are the longest lines for bathrooms?

Women's room, every time. There are formulae to calculate a reasonable number of locations and plumbing in each one for a given attendance. But nearly always those expect 'continuous' usage, not 'surge' usage between acts or innings or quarters.

I used to work for Live Nation, seasonal security staff, and my personal estimate is bathroom surge capacity needs to be about 5X continuous capacity. Bathrooms require lots of physical space, maintenance/housekeeping, lots of $$$

Having server surge capacity also must cost money.

They have a lot of issues from my observation. Server capacity is just one of many things. Once the speed is fast, there's still a bunch of configuration that needs to be done and other changes to policies on marketplace. Otherwise, its still kicking the can down the road or just money. It's okay though, there's a strong contributor and patient user base.

We’ve just bumped out our performance quite a bit with the recent upgrades. The entire site here should work even faster now. Not that it even needed it.

Yes, this site has ran great since day 1.. It seems alot of people aren't trying to find alternatives though, checking for a couple things and I found new posts on calguns, its like people are itching to get stuff sold but aren't taking time to eventually get here to post here too. This site is much appreciated!!!

Stats for the month of August when comparing to our neighbors. Granted, the site was pretty much unusable, we're catching up with our stickiness and growing content library. This month looks like we're stable, but still consistently growing.

These metrics don't mean too much for August, but it shows our continued trajectory to be another resource. Thank you everyone who is contributing your posts, recommendations, and more! I'm still amazed myself. The recent upgrades positions us further.
