FFL's that do PPT's for $47.19

These all charge the $47.19 without any BS fees:
Iron Mike’s in Yorba Linda
Shoot SoCal in Fullerton
GunsLA in Burbank

Interesting little bit I noticed recently on a friend’s receipt from Turner’s (not PPT but a new purchase): they charged a $9 “dealer handling” fee on top of the $37.19 DROS fees. Wouldn’t have expected that from a big box store, especially on a gun purchased from their on-hand inventory.

I only charge 47.19 and do not take credit cards. Taking cards got to expensive to support as I am not a large business. I charge the DROS and $10.00 as the DOJ states.

Cash is King. 💰

As a buyer I will always pay cash for a gun if the seller prefers it, but I want to pay for the DROS and any other store items by card. This is especially true if I'm making impulse buys for ammo, a drink, mags, etc.

I would think shops would be glad to have these impulse buys, as it's one of the perks of people showing up for PPT.

What ever happened to the good Ol days when people had cash in their pockets. Cash in the pocket got replaced by credit card debt.

I have almost no debt but I hate carrying cash. Do you still carry coins? What happened to older men walking around with jingling pockets? I remember those days! I'm also glad I don't need coins for much of anything these days except for Aldi (which will provide the cart coin), soda/snack machines (rarer these days), and newsstands, but who reads newspapers anymore? Pay phones are gone too.

For impulse buys, nothing beats a card or even Zelle, and there's the inconvenience of having to deal with ATMs, and a non-zero risk of theft or related crime.

A shop derives the most impulse-buy benefit if people have more spending options versus having to plan how much cash to have on-hand.

I didn't pay off my car with cash either, lol.

I do still carry change LOL. I remember when most of the change in my pocket was mostly 90% silver. I also keep a bunch of change in my ashtray.
I'm just old school, I guess.

I guess I don't see how it hurts to have cash, credit & debit cards. The more options the better.

I appreciate the old school and I grew up with it (I'm 57) but I guess I've embraced the cashless economy.

A lot has changed since people carried cash routinely, and much of it for the better...but some for the worse. I do miss FTF interaction with others like it was in the old days, one of the great features of PPT.

For PPTs, I agree that cash is king. It is kinda like the old days in that regard.

We bought my wife's last new car with cash in 2020.
No financing so no "paying off" a loan but we did bring $42,000 in $100 bills and the dealer was happy to run the bundles through a cash counting machine.

Brass Depot in Ridgecrest, CA
37.19 for dros
10 for ppt
Kinda sorta due consignment depends on the gun. Consignment sucks to deal with in all honesty
