Some people just buy guns because they think they're neat. Lots of people get 2011s and never shoot them outside of slow fire at a static range.

Most 2011 owners can’t shoot imo

Steel frame guns hide and compensate for your deficiencies

Full-sized gun. German quality.

Would be a great shooter. Optics ready. Terrific home defense gun.

A bunch of reasons to buy guns other than competition or carry. Personally, I have a preference for full-sized 5" pistols (M&P Pro, XD Tactical, Glock 34, PPQ Q5, etc.).

I have a couple but I mostly have CCW sized guns like compacts because I feel that's what I can really use it for in real life. I have the M18 with 21 round mag ready to go for home defense and my AR-15, rifle > handgun so good luck to anyone breaking in lmao hope you have level 4 plates. Love my MK25 though
I recently bought the VP9A1 K so just this gun but compact and it's a great CCW
 
A lot of my guns I have no intention of shooting matches with or carrying. Sometimes it just feels/looks badass at the range.

That is funny. I am the opposite. Got VP9F and shoot it pretty good. Can't shoot my son's G34 worth beans and it has a bunch of doodads including a nice trigger. But I don't have a lot of time on a glock. For me it took a bit to get used to the RDS on the VP9.

I had considered Trunk Gun, but then you have to worry about if they transport it within the stupid laws and all that jazz. Last thing I need is someone saying I suggested a Trunk/Truck gun then they get pinched carrying it loaded or something. Stupid we have to think this way, but CA is an incredibly litigious state and people rarely want to take accountability for their own actions.
