Glock. I wouldn't say it was terrible, I just didn't shoot it well. About three hundred years ago, I took the Glock back the gun shop I bought and worked a deal they'd buy it back for what I paid and I got a new SIG P229/.40 for a few bucks more. Out of the box it shot exceptionally well for me and I still have/carry it... it also bred a few brother and sister SIGs over the years. Since learned the angle difference of the barrel/grip is different between the two makes.

Vz 52/57. Very cool and unique, side folding bayonet but its kinda weak and awkward when deployed. As heavy as an M1A, but chambered in 762x39. Flawed firing pin design. The sks is a much more durable and lighter rifle with as many spare parts available as you would every need. Rarity equated to value but it just wasn't a keeper. Proper mags, when you could find them often go for over 200 on GB. Cool gun to try, and glad I did but sold it for a Russian sks with beautiful striped wood.

thats funny. I like my vz 52/57. granted. it IS heavy. I load it sorta like my SKS(s). through open bolt. I dont use magazines. but yeah it's more a curio/interesting piece vs a "shooter". I did have to replace the firing pin.

Me, too. And mine was a Grenada-invasion bring back (had war trophy papers). I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't warm up to it, haha!!

Only one I really remember being disappointed with (in fairness I wasn't expecting a lot given the price point) was the Sig Sauer P290RS. Got it fairly cheap and love Sigs but when I got it home the trigger was awful - both very heavy and gritty. Kept it for about a month and then put it up for trade. Someone reached out saying they'd been looking for one and gave me a beautiful S&W 13-3 for it. Worked out but I won't be in a rush to get a 290rs in the future

Fatal flaw is probably using a proprietary stripper clip when the sks was designed a lot earlier and much more prevalent. Aside from the firing pin. I did like it but I don't believe in safe queens and if you have seen what they have been going for recently, it wasn't worth holding onto.

Mine was the vz 52 chambered in 7.62x45mm. It had the hideous black, truck bed liner, textured stock. I had a case of 1200 rounds of ammo but only about 10% of the rounds ignited. It simply was not worth the space it took up in the safe.

So this is funny because I never followed through on buying one of these but when they first dropped multiple coworkers bought them. They were affordable by sig standards to begin with and everyone I knew who bought one put them up for sale on work cork board quick for cheap. I never pulled the trigger and regretted it until I saw a YouTube video years later about how due to some design flaw they allegedly had insane recoil.

yup a Kimber custom tle2......stovepipes (not limp waisted as I shoot other 1911's fine) sent it back to Kimberly 2 times .. I would not trust this gun to protect me...

No wonder people gut them down to a frame and slide to rebuild them as they liked.

Best Running SA 1911s are just a beater someone poured $ and time into.

I could say the same thing for Remington 700s after a bunch of zeroing machine work and a rebuild from just a receiver and stripped bolt.

Several, but the G26 was my biggest disappointment. Way too small for me to grip well and excessively snappy as well. Prob more of a user error though. Would love to create a "I would like to try out a XXXX and have these guns in exchange for you to try" thread. I would've saved a lot of $$.

I’m a sucker for odd guns, and was this gun odd!! Thought it looked absolutely outrageous with a BX25 magazine. Got it back in the SSE1 heyday.

Wow, what a hunk of junk!! Even with the later ‘spring upgrade’ from the factory, it never runs for more than a few rounds.

The thing is, I can’t part with it. It’s just too damn ugly, haha!!

It's a single shot.
You rotate the barrel to unlock it and remove it from the frame and then you manually load it.
I also like the weird and for $65, I had to have one.

I’ve got one, haha!! On sale cheap at Turners a few years ago. I couldn’t pass it up, either. Mine has the 6” barrel to make OAL.

Sig P229 Enhanced Elite. Loved it in the store. Felt better than the other guns. Wife loved it. First time shooting it kept spitting casings straight back into her face. Sent it in to Sig. They said it ejects correctly. Basically 1500 on a gun she doesn't even want to use. It's not a bad gun to be fair. Just thoroughly underwhelming for the price.

Pretty much every 1911 I've ever owned. I want to love them, but the issues with the design just make it impossible.

I was glad to get a chance to shoot a Hi-Power and a Sig P210 before spending money on ones. Both of those would have been subject to extreme buyer's remorse.
