Illegal configuration .

I read everything you wrote, twice. You collect enough PII for any law enforcement agency to identify every user, I just think it's important for everyone to know that.

In today's day and age, with the regime seeking the identities of people being critical of the regime, for simply exercising their first amendment rights, it's important for everyone who uses any website to jealously guard their identities and private information lest they have the thugs knocking in or at their doors.

If you do not notify the users of the warrants, you are depriving them of the ability to challenge that warrant in court, as is their right.

For example: https://www.aclu.org/press-releases...ho-criticized-department-of-homeland-security
The example you note is different from what we get so apples and oranges.

Why did you ignore my question about starting your own service with your own rules?

Please use common sense. You need an email for an account/notifications, age for adult content, and ip to access the site. This is true for 100% of companies in the US. What we ask is minimal to provide a useful site. We’re not based in Switzerland or some European country and not a VPN. If you know of a better site that meets your criteria make it known. I’ll happily refer you traffic for that group. They all usually have a similar profile and you’d be doing me a favor by creating it or sharing it.

It's different from what you have received "so far". It's not as if it is an impossibility.

Because you were being snarky or facetious and I am being completely serious. You take factual observations about your site as criticism, which it is not. Every user has the right to know they literally have no privacy here when it comes to the different regimes and their agents.

Why did you not answer my question about notifying members when you receive warrants pertaining to them?

It would be perfectly legal for you to allow members to use VPNs, there is literally no law prohibiting that in the USA. As you are not a banking or financial institution, you have zero liability if your members use VPNs, even the FBI recommends Americans use VPNs for general online security.

I’ve mentioned several times, VPN’s that don’t work are burned by scammers. We do allow some VPN’s but they won’t be named.

Nope, centerfire. Great example on why folks shouldn't go around telling them they have an "illegal" setup if they don't know the details. There are a million ways to get to "compliant" these days.
I am all ears, it is center fire with a telescoping stock, a pistol grip and what looks like a suppressor or flash hider but I wasn't even considering the muzzle device and it is semi-auto. How is this compliant?

"VPN’s that don’t work are burned by scammers." Sorry, I do not understand this sentence?

Why would you not tell people which VPN's are allowed? Let's face it, VPN or not, you don't have the ability to accurately trace IP addresses yourself unless you engage legal representation or law enforcement to issue identity seeking subpoena's to ISPs.

If you really want to nip scammers in the bud, kill off all mail-order advertisements from other than reputable vendors. That will put an end to it immediately.

Coincidentally, while on the subject for people who do help us report. We're thinking of providing a badge for people who report verified issues. It's not implemented yet just an idea as the site grows we only have so many volunteer mods.

In this case if you got it, you would also get a physical patch as a perk but we also don't want a lot of false positives. So it's just an idea at the moment.

I'd prefer Mods and you focus on what you already do- badges are for uhm... children.

Mail will have your physical address and name, more than what we get. I don't know what you think we do but to me your energy is directed at the wrong place. We have to deal with the state. We don't trace IP's.

I wasn't being snarky, I'm serious. I don't know how many times a day I get complaints from people like yourself. Too many limits and rules. Please create one that works for people. I'm serious about you naming a site that does this so we can tell them to go there. Right now, it's Calguns because anything goes, but if you create something, I'll route people there. Trust me, I'm very serious, you'd be doing me a favor and building the site that you want.

There's totally an audience for it but I would want nothing to do with it.

Doesn't have to be a badge, I'll be honest we just need help keeping an eye on things. The growth lately is significant and I'd rather run with fewer moderators and more people just doing what they do. Plus a lot of the members here are younger and enjoy badges, the kids grew up so there's an blend of younger and older generations here.

Fixed magazine, 10/30 mag (blocked/epoxied & riveted), Fake can (slip on), 16" barrel, fixed stock. It's overly compliant.

Again, you don't know what you don't know. Many ways to achieve compliance are hardly visual, if at all anymore.

Is it a dhic move to let people know when their firearm is in an illegal configuration . I see it quite often . I let a couple dudes know and both got angry about it . For me , if i was incriminating myself on the web id want to be pulled aside and told i was making a mistake before the MAN found out . What do yall think ?
I think as well intentioned as you may be i'd say Dont be a Karen, and mind your business.
You're dealing with adults.
Would you approach and school every driver that didn't signal when switching lanes or that pulled out into an intersection to turn left even tho you're legally not supposed to enter the intersection until you can completely go through it? Let adults be adults.

Also, is it a picture? Even if it had evil features but didnt have a gas block/gas tube and therefore may fall into single shot... is it worth your time?

Yes, it’s definitely an asinine move. People know what they are doing, and they don’t need a gun control hall monitor trying to call them out at the range. I say mind your own business, and then sit back and watch as nothing happens, because despite what all the fear posters here say, no one actually cares.

imagine he pulls out a flip open badgeholder and flashes a hall monitor pass before he starts questioning or advising...

I feel it important to let someone know, especially in California where new laws are inacted every 10 minutes. I lived in Texas and at gun shows would let kids know when they had AR pistols with forward hand grips attached. Most don't know all the laws on the books and need guidance.
If they get upset then that's on them,

Lot of people exempt from certain laws in CA. I have MG/AW/SBR/SBS permits. At ranges no one has ever came up to educate me on compliance... Maybe cause I don't look very friendly....who knows. If I post something online I will normally make a comment on legality to keep the couch Karen's at bay.

I met a guy at the range who saw me shooting and pulled out his MG to complain about how it does not cycle consistently in full auto and could I take a look. I asked if he had any documentation on legality before I touched it and he pulled out his FBI Agent creds..... he looked like he was 16.... you can never tell these days.

What ranges do you shoot at? I’d like to avoid them.

I inadvertently speed all the time when good songs come on the radio.
Up tempo music is also purposely played at clothing stores to help aid/assist/motivate people in purchasing or get ready to buy mode. Wonder if this same tactic would have any affect at the gun store? 🤣
