I had to stop shooting my RAW's at public ranges due to all the karens and kens telling me they were illegal for all manner of reasons.I can see two sides of it.
First, is that people are often mistaken when they think something is illegally configured or they just dont know the law well enough.
Second, if you mean well and you are 100% sure something could get somebody in trouble then why not try to help them? I would want somebody to let me know if there was something I was doing that could get me in trouble so I could stop doing it and fix it.
A recent example is a guy came up to me when I was shooting a featureless AR and said I couldnt have a flashhider. But I had a muzzle brake with a rather large chamber. It was very obviously a brake and could never be mistaken for a flashhider. He didnt know what the difference was. Turns out he thought all muzzle devices were just "flashhiders". He was completely ignorant of what a flashhider is.
Of course my RAW's are exempt of all that.
