Kimber 2K11 California Updates?

Still a couple of people in the classifieds selling their off roster version for $4K....just in case you dont want to wait ;)

I find HO entertaining, but he's kind of been known to be a pretty big shill - not at the level of colion noir, but also not as "honest" as someone like AJ/LeaditOut.

I do agree with him that the 2k11 is a better value than the HD Staccato stuff, but that's separate from the fact that he's kind of a joke in the more serious 2011 community. PT really really must have done him wrong to be publicly called out in such a way as most brands that send him stuff get a free pass.
I don't know who he is but knowing two major manufacturers are putting out a quality 2011 at a much better price point can't be good news for staccato

staccatto might lower but I got a feeling initial demand for the Kimber might push the kimbers price up before staccatto lowers theirs.

Agree with this. I find it hard to believe Staccato would lower pricing it would seem to go against their whole branding/marketing style.

They care about having a footprint in the LEO/Mil space. I don't think they will care as much about a little bit less market share in civilian space. If anything it might cause them to raise their pricing.

In this thread we have heard that both staccato 2011 is not a duty gun and that they are so duty focused they don't care about civilian market much LOL

civilian side is far bigger than the LEO side.
LEO side changes if lawyers say so. Staccato has spent good money trying to get on roster.

Yes but you are talking about one state. Staccato survived long before being in CA and will survive long after. Why do you think they designed and pushed the HD series so hard, it wasn't to gain civilian sales.

Civilians don't generate the longterm income that LEO/Mil sales do because most won't have the turn, round counts, maintenance, etc. If you watch interviews with their CEO he makes it clear that Leo/Mil is focus and civilian market is the bonus that comes from generating the product for those spaces.

Even if they raised their pricing the reality is a lot of their civilian market would remain, especially those who buy multiple Staccatos. Look at how much negative feedback they received for the C4X pricing, but guess what...they are still selling.

this state drives enough sales to the point everyone wants to get on roster. please keep in mind I am NOT saying they will suffer much . kimber might give them a hit but it will be soft and to the point where Kimber raises their price before staccato lowers theirs.

google fu...........driven by AI so take it with a grain of salt.

While state-by-state sales data for Staccato 2011 is proprietary and not publicly published, independent industry reports indicate their nationwide production has topped roughly 30,000+ units annually. In the Southern California region near Fontana, consumer demand is heavily driven by law enforcement adoption and specialized California-compliant models. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Sales & Market Drivers in California
  • Law Enforcement Adoption: Staccato's 2011 platform is exceptionally popular with local agencies; the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), LA County Sheriff’s Department, and Riverside County Sheriff’s Department all approve the platform for duty use. [1]
  • State Compliant Models: To meet CA compliance laws, Staccato offers specific models (like the Staccato HD P4 and C4X) featuring restricted 10-round magazines and loaded chamber indicators. [1, 2]
  • Private Party Market: Due to the strict handgun roster, older or off-roster Staccato models command a premium on the used and secondary market

I understand that, I mean I don’t know who he is other than a YouTuber
that's it, he is youtuber who claim to be fair and unbiased. I tend to believe this claim, others think he is a shill. I enjoy his reviews and agree when it comes to tiny amount of guns I owned

I can't speak to his other non-2011 stuff much, but for his 2011 content is is very much biased. It can be seen in the way his opinion shifts based on what the giveaway gun is, the whole giveaway/raffle thing being related to buying expensive items for a chance at the gun (usually the one being reviewed), etc. He's entertaining and can shoot, but he's definitely become more of a shill over time. I've been watching since become he blew up and before covid and he's changed for the worse. But, that's also guntube in general I guess.

I'm going down the rabbit hole now, other than Garand Thumb and a couple others I didn't watch too much gun youtube - https://www.leviathangroupllc.com/tribe

A bunch of these guys are all owned by this marketing group for coordinated shilling? wtf?

I saw HO really likes the P226 and the Walther PDP so he can't be too bad, hehe.

2k11 is a really nice pistol but most people are shilling. Its not an atlas but for the price its not a bad option. GTO or some thin g that takes glock mags would be a better option

The market for 2011's tends to self correct very slowly or not at all...

We are supposed to get the P211 GT4 and GT5 on the roster this month as well. More competition more better.

I wonder if they will throw in the 45acp 2k11 or DS warriors later on. Im interested in those.
