Kimber 2K11 California Updates?

I have never noticed when doing any card transactions with Rifle Gear but at 2a Zone I usually pay them through Zelle or Venmo to avoid getting hit with the transaction fee. Part reason also I don’t use gunbroker as much as I want to cause the card fees associated with most vendors. I pay attention to extra fees and sales taxes when making big purchases. A few years back I had made an excel spreadsheet sheet of the cheapest cities and counties to buy a firearm in and I will say LA County is thee highest in extra fees and taxes than any other county or city/town in the state. Turners also adds on extra fees so I usually never shop with them. Actually I should find that spreadsheet and make a post on here showing the cost differences with fees and sales taxes from one county to the next. On that note I will say that fountain valley has a higher sales tax rate than the rest of Orange County and other OC cities but it not terrible that it would add more to the cost of the firearm than buying like say Burbank or some other LA County based city/town.
That would be helpful.

I have to spend 50k a year on my card to get some certain rewards so I want to use it for high ticket purchases as much as possible as I'm not able to normally accumulate 4k a month in regular expenses I can use my card for. But I don't want pay BS credit card fees at businesses, either.

Don't have a video but here's my take on it. My buddy just got a 2k11 and I have an Atlas. His and my view is that everything about the Atlas is better, grip, trigger, fit and finish, safety etc. But is it $4,000 dollars better? No. I personally don't like the look of the Kimber's, they look like a temu version of an Infinty to me. I just got a Race City Defense Core for my backup competition gun and it really makes it hard to ever justify an Atlas. Atlas parts in it with their own frame and grip and it's $2,999.00 so not too far off from the CA 2k11 price and less than half an Atlas.
How does tge RCD Core shoot compared to the Atlas? I have an Athena and ordered a Core as back up. Picked up a Stacatto P to possibly use as bsck up but it just feels so different from the Athena, the P has my buddy's stippled Stacatto frame with the heavy steel mainspring housing and magwell. Weight was about the same as the Athena with the P .25 oz heavier.

I haven't shot the RCD but I would be that 90% of the difference in feel in both from the athena in actual shooting is the grip module. You can put an Atlas grip module on both the staccato and the RCD as well as the same atlas safety and guide rod, recoil spring, trigger etc. The RCD looks a lot cooler though and does have a full length dust cover.

It shoots very well, I just had an atlas safety fitted for it because that was the only thing I didn’t care for. After using the atlas safety it was like a radian safety on an AR. Mine have to have it now. The grips awesome, I would say I like the atlas with swells a little more but it’s got really good texture. Humble marksman just reviewed one and said he prefers the grip over his atlas. I can weigh them later but not any big noticeable difference to me. I’ve got about 1,000 rounds through it now with zero malfunctions.

Thought about it but with the Atlas conversion grip kit and other parts, that will be about $1K (+/-). I think that was better spent getting the RCD Core. Will still put a Red Dirt trigger in the P and call it done and just wait for the Core.

This was the first time I heard about RCD, it looks very nice. Too bad 2A zone don’t have them

The best choice is to just keep all of them haha. I would definitely take the Core over a Staccato

I believe they are available SSE through Kovert, is that where these other guys are getting them?

You right, just found them on Kovert. As much is I don’t like drive from north LA to Orange County, I’ll pay them a visit

Agreed, although I sold both my Platypus. Just felt too light for me and want to stick with true "2011s". But still might pick up a P211-GT5 when it hits the roster lol.
One advantage with my Stacatto P is that it was a PPT and DROS'd as a semi auto.

Looks like they have them now, was able to add one in the cart. Will email first tho

Nope they extended the offer on Monday after their 4th July sale ended but will continue extending the offer for no sin tax (still subject to sales taxes fountain valley has a higher sales tax rate than rest of OC but still lower than LA County sales tax rate) and DROS goes till end of summer. I got the email and saw them post it on their IG stories as well earlier this week.
Do you mean rifle supply in HB?
