Kimber 2K11 California Updates?

The 1911 trigger is extremely adjustable, I've felt a ca model staccato that was under 3lbs and it was fantastic. Most times it's just a matter of bending the sear spring but at worst you can tune the sear
Second this. Or swapping out the MSH spring for a lighter or heavier spring can change the trigger break without evening touching the leaf spring. I just adjusted my Platypus today, went from a 1.5 -2lb trigger pull to a 3lb.

It shoots very well, I just had an atlas safety fitted for it because that was the only thing I didn’t care for. After using the atlas safety it was like a radian safety on an AR. Mine have to have it now. The grips awesome, I would say I like the atlas with swells a little more but it’s got really good texture. Humble marksman just reviewed one and said he prefers the grip over his atlas. I can weigh them later but not any big noticeable difference to me. I’ve got about 1,000 rounds through it now with zero malfunctions.
Does RC9 worth extra $1k over core?

How does tge RCD Core shoot compared to the Atlas? I have an Athena and ordered a Core as back up. Picked up a Stacatto P to possibly use as bsck up but it just feels so different from the Athena, the P has my buddy's stippled Stacatto frame with the heavy steel mainspring housing and magwell. Weight was about the same as the Athena with the P .25 oz heavier.
here’s the weights. Atlas is a little over an ounce heavier

Thanks and nice set ups. Weight difference possibly from palm swells and larger magwell? Either way close enough.
Also have a short blue trigger on my Athena lol. Have a short gray shoe for the RCD Core once it comes in.

I handled a used on at my local gun store. It was a consignment gun for $3500. It don't think it had that many rounds through it. It had looser tolerances than a Glock. You could shake the gun and hear it rattle. I'll pass.

They literally don't have looser tolerances than a Glock. Did you pick it up with the slide locked back?

Before I get flamed. I really wanted one of these guns. I was even trying to get one off roster. I'm not trying to hate on the gun and give credit to Kimber for making a CA compliant version. Maybe the gun was run hard, I don't know. It didn't show wear patterns of a gun that was run had. The sales guy tried to tell me that loose tolerances will make the gun more reliable. Maybe it was just that particular sample of ONE.

I've owned a 💩 ton of hand guns from staccato, Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, Les Baer, multiple CZ's from my time in Utah. I've owned high end Sigs included German Made X Fives. I'm not some Johnny come lately. I have a clue about guns.

yeah the barrel will be loose as hell with the slide locked back. They aren't loose, the kimbers are at least on par with staccato for slide to frame fit. They will both have a bit of play but nothing like a mass produced striker fired gun or a CZ.

Save you some clicking around..

Looking at those prices I'm glad I sold my Staccato's because the private market is about to crash even more when the 2K11's become available. With 2A victories rolling in I don't want to keep a bunch of off roster guns that I don't shoot and would only lose value by keeping them longer.

Smart guy. Some guys are gonna lose thousands overnight when the roster is repealed

Remember the 10 day wait was overturned in court. We still have a 10 day wait. They use our own tax dollars against us. They essentially have unlimited funds to fight in court plus it's not their money.
