I’m a member at SGR and mainly shoot pistols there. I have done some competition stuff, but it was unofficial and not sanctioned. I would like to get into shooting competitions, but I think I need a buddy for motivation to go. I saw that sac valley does uspca on the first Sunday of each month and have been flirting with the idea of going.

I go there about once or twice a week because it’s close to my office (have to be in office 2 days a week). I also just recently caught the competition bug and took my intro to USPSA class about 2 months ago, have done 3 USPSA matches so far and have an IDPA match scheduled for early June.

DM me if you want to meet up to shoot at SGR and I can give you tips on how to get started with USPSA (or happy to just be the guy that motivates you to get off your ass and do it).

Yes they have all kinds of sleds and rests, I don’t think they have a bench rest that you can lock the gun in, but enough to zero

Hello, moved back from DFW after about a decade to take care of family. Grew up in OC CA, been shooting since I was 6ish, Marine Vet, was on Calguns before moving out of state since 2010. Found this place from seeing posts on the old forum.
