They absolutely CAN ship to California! Per AB1263 they must collect your ID, have you sign an acknowledgement, and ship signature required to the address on your ID, OR they can ship to any FFL.

Did they tell you they "can't" or they "won't"?

Optics Planet has historically been super risk averse and refused to ship certain items to California well before AB1263. Try one of the other vendors on the list.
 
couple of updates.

We can add JL Billet to the list, although, I dont know how I feel about their extra step in adding a scan of your face during the check out (no, not a troll). See ther attachment.

Also, keeping the list clean, I think we need to keep an account of the reality of the approved list. A lot of them are still a hot mess in terms of how they are segmenting products - for example, OpticsPlant does have a process but will automatically cancel parts that haven't been cleared on their website (like a grip module); fully legal to ship under the ID and doc rules but their people are really brutal to work with open issues in stock mapping to the wrong classification.

Botach seems to want to ship to CA, but they can't get their heads out of their butts on how to get things done. Maybe check back in a month or two to see if they're worth adding to the list.
 
What happens if you miss all the delivery attempts? can you pick up at the UPS center?
