Chisel Machining still ships, and apparently Midwest Industries is starting to ship to CA again, though with a bizarre requirement for a selfie alongside ID and a $5 surcharge.

Well I recently saw on Palmetto website a wheeler gunsmithing bit set. (cheap) so i thought I would grab one for my range bag. Seems its a gunsmithing kit so they cant ship to California.

So thats a no.

Also when i called them they noted "gunsmithing kit" guess its part of that bulletin:

iv. Any other device, tool, kit, part, or parts set that is “clearly designed and intended”for use in manufacturing firearms.
They absolutely CAN ship to California! Per AB1263 they must collect your ID, have you sign an acknowledgement, and ship signature required to the address on your ID, OR they can ship to any FFL.

Did they tell you they "can't" or they "won't"?

That stupid adult signature required is what kills me. I'd almost prefer to pay for an FFL to receive something on my behalf for simple peace-of-mind. Ideally, one would bundle orders to maximize efficiency given the fees and travel time to one's preferred FFL.

Has anyone compiled a listing yet? Asking for a friend. Thanks!
There are several updated lists on this thread, but if your friend would like to volunteer to go through and compile a complete list, that would be awesome.

Optics planet is cancelling my orders of a muzzle brake, and hand stop. Couldn’t tell me the issue but my id matches the address and they keep cancelling.

Optics Planet has historically been super risk averse and refused to ship certain items to California well before AB1263. Try one of the other vendors on the list.

they wont. they cancelled the order and when i called got told they are looking into it.

Think i saw someone had done this recently. Great job. Maybe a sticky with that? (unless its been done already)

The thread is already stickied but I can move the list to the first post.

couple of updates.

We can add JL Billet to the list, although, I dont know how I feel about their extra step in adding a scan of your face during the check out (no, not a troll). See ther attachment.

Also, keeping the list clean, I think we need to keep an account of the reality of the approved list. A lot of them are still a hot mess in terms of how they are segmenting products - for example, OpticsPlant does have a process but will automatically cancel parts that haven't been cleared on their website (like a grip module); fully legal to ship under the ID and doc rules but their people are really brutal to work with open issues in stock mapping to the wrong classification.

Botach seems to want to ship to CA, but they can't get their heads out of their butts on how to get things done. Maybe check back in a month or two to see if they're worth adding to the list.

What happens if you miss all the delivery attempts? can you pick up at the UPS center?
